Screening for Gifted and Talented As we begin the school year it is important to us to place each student in the programs that best meet the student’s educational needs. One program that we are currently screening for in Kindergarten through fifth grade is the Gifted and Talented Program. To be identified as GT, a student must meet extremely high standards on nationally normed ability and achievement tests. This will be the only opportunity to screen these students this year. Students identified this year will begin to receive services in the 2016-2017 school year. If you feel that your child might best be served in the GT program and has not been identified please contact Angela Hansen, School Counselor, at 832-484-6229 or to obtain a referral packet. The deadline for referrals is Thursday, September 25th, 2015.
