Homework: High Support at Home!
Zwink Elementary follows best educational instructional practices regarding homework.  The most recent meta-analysis of over 800 studies indicates that homework only positively impacts student achievement at the elementary level when it is meaningful, relevant, differentiated, supportive of learning targets, and clear.  Homework, therefore, is designated as “opportunities for practice.”  Teachers will monitor opportunities for practice in order to: form instructional strategies; provide feedback for improvement; differentiate assignments; and communicate study habits such as effort, the need to practice, participation, and growth opportunities toward mastery of learning targets.

The learning activities provided below are designed to support and enrich the learning of all of our zebras.  If a child receives additional opportunities for practice at home from his/her teacher, please encourage him/her to complete that work, as it has been designed and assigned specifically for your child.

We love our fabulous zebra parents!  Thank you for your important role in our collaborative community!
