Education
Bachelor of Science– Sam Houston State University
Master of Education Administration- Prairie View A&M University

I am excited to be starting my third year as principal. I have grown up within the Klein community attending Brill Elementary, Kleb Intermediate, and Klein High. I began my teaching career at Roth Elementary and was blessed to be transferred to Benignus as a 5th grade teacher the school’s opening year. I have served as an assistant/associate principal for five years at Benignus Elementary and three years at Kleb Intermediate. I have been honored by my colleagues as Campus Teacher of the Year (2007) and Assistant/Associate Principal of the Year (2014).

In my free time, I love running marathons, kayaking, and working toward completing my doctorate. I have a wonderful husband, Ryan, and two beautiful girls, Courtney (23) and Addison (21), both have decided to join the teaching profession. I am dedicated to continuing the school’s history of academic excellence. I look forward to another wonderful school year in our PROWL.  Go Leopards!!!!

Education

Bachelor of Science Interdisciplinary Studies/Early Childhood Education –Texas A&M University

Master of Education Administration-Sam Houston State University

I am beyond excited to be continuing my career as a leopard at Benignus Elementary. This will be my fourth year as an Assistant Principal on this campus and I can’t think of a better place to call home. I am eager to see the amazing things we will embark on, as well as continue, as our PROWL leads the Promise in Klein ISD.

I grew up in the southwest part of Houston, attending Fort Bend ISD schools and was awarded a scholarship to attend Texas A&M University. I gladly accepted and quickly became the proudest member of the Fightin’ Texas Aggies! After graduating, I returned to Houston and began my teaching career in Spring Branch ISD teaching 4th grade. I soon moved to Klein ISD where I taught 5th grade at Lemm Elementary, as well as Zwink Elementary.

I am married to my college sweetheart, Wes and we are blessed to have our hands full with beautiful twin daughters, Kendall and Kamryn (2). We enjoy spending our free time with our girls and family trying new places and experiencing the fun that our community has to offer.

Education

Bachelor of Art                McNeese State University

Master of Fine Art            University of Houston

I am a Louisiana native and a 13 year resident of the great state of Texas!  I began my teaching career at the University of Houston as a teaching fellow.  I loved it so much that I became a certified teacher and I have not turned back since!  I have taught nearly every level and discipline of art at the secondary level, have been an assessment coordinator for a very large high school and I have been named a campus Teacher of the Year.  I served the Klein Community for the first time last year as an Advanced Academics Coordinator in charge of elementary Gifted and Talented programs.

The majority of my family is located in Louisiana, however I have a twin brother who lives in Austin.  I have an adorable red-headed nephew and a newborn niece!

I am excited to embark on my new roll at Benignus and hope everyone has a fantastic and challenging school year!
